Camping in St Albans!
Camping is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of the village and the festival. However, please note that we are a tiny festival in a rural village and there are extremely limited facilities.
Camping and parking sites
Please only camp and park in designated areas. Please do not block driveways or access points. Please see our festival map [link to map page] or ask at the festival office for details. Our campsites are categorised as Session (for those who want to stay up all night), Curfew (where noise must end at midnight), and Quiet (please be quiet!).
Powered sites
Powered sites are reserved for guests with medical needs. Please email stalbansfolkfestival@gmail.com to request a site.
Water
There is no potable water available at the festival. Please bring all of the drinking, washing, and bathing water that you will need for the duration of the festival.
Weather
St Albans Folk Festival is staged in the late autumn. Most years we are blessed with warm sunny days and clear frosty nights. Occasionally we have a very wet day. Please pack for any eventuality, and be sunsafe!
Rubbish
Please take your rubbish home with you. We have limited resources to manage the garbage that can accumulate. If you had room to bring it, you have room to take it home.
No dogs
Dogs are not allowed in any festival locations, including campsites. Official Guide Dogs and registered companion animals are exempt, but handlers must be able to provide certification.
Keep your valuables and yourself safe
While St Albans is generally a small and friendly festival, theft or other incidents can be a problem as at any event. You are responsible for your valuables at all times. We do not have an instrument lock up. First aid, security, and local police will be present for the duration of the event.
Caravans
You can bring your caravan to the festival, but there are no caravan facilities such as water, sewerage or power. There are limited flat sites suitable for large vehicles and we cannot guarantee you a position.
