St Albans

Festival Description

St Albans Folk Festival, held over a weekend close to Anzac Day, is home to quality Traditional & Contemporary Folk Music, Australian Bush Music, Music Sessions, Workshops, Dances, Poetry and Children's Activities. The event showcases local and international performers, song writers and musicians. The festival runs a market of food, produce and other stalls. Patrons travel for the day or camp on the banks of the McDonald River 20 kms from Wisemans Ferry in the beautiful Hawkesbury River area, North of Sydney and West of Gosford.

The village has one of the oldest pubs in Australia, the Settlers Arms and a Historical Cemetery.

will open 1st Aug 2014 and close 30th Sep 2014 for the 2015 festival.

Note the dates above for the 2015 festival are over the Anzac Holiday weekend which is not in the school holidays . If in the unlikely event that 27Apr is gazetted as a public holiday, the festival will be extended by 1 day.
